Mammootty suffers injury during sword fight scene of 'Mamankam'.

Megastar Mammootty got injured while filming a war scene of the upcoming film Mamankam. The actor is said to have continued with the shooting of the film ignoring the injury and sought medical aid an hour later.

He joined the film crew after a day's rest. Circles close to Mammotty informed that the injury was not that serious. Years ago, Mammotty was injured while shooting a sword fight for the classic movie Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha. Huge structures have been erected on the sets for the film Mamankam.

The week-long first schedule of the film written and directed by Sajeev Pillai is in its last stage.

Mammotty is playing the role of a peasant chaver (suicidal warrior) who is preparing to depart for 'Mamankam,' a duodecennial fair on the banks of Thirunavaya River in medieval Kerala.
